This is Atari's first programmable home video game console and arguably the one that started the video game industry in America. There are two versions of the original 2600 design here: the original "heavy sixer" (called that for its six front-mounted switches and heavy internal metal RF shield) and a lighter six-switch model. Both are model CX-2600 and were designed by Jay Miner, Ron Milner, and Joe Decuir. 1977 Atari Inc.
