Pong’s New Knobs

A fellow arcade game collector over at KLOV has created a spot-on machined aluminum reproduction of the “original” Syzygy/Atari Pong controller knob. I use quotes because Atari used both aluminum and plastic knobs throughout production of the cabinet – not an unusual practice for the early days of arcade game manufacturing.

Given that the control panel is aluminum, it seems only fitting to remove the plastic knobs on my Pong cabinet and replace them with these beauties. Behold…
